Relocation

1st off I will apologize for the tardiness of my initial post. I'm trying to get settled at my new home in Lake Havasu City/Parker, AZ!!! This was my 1st week at my new job!!! I Really think that I'm going to like it here!!! The weather has been close to perfect!!!! I haven't worn a coat since I left Kansas City!!!! Here's a couple pictures from the 2nd Annual Balloon Festival in Lake Havasu City!!!!

I actually go to get up close to one that had landed in the middle of a residential neighborhood I was deriving through Sunday while looking for a church!!! That was REALLY interesting!!!

  1. That balloon festival looks amazing! It must be so exciting moving to a new place and starting a new job. Best of luck to you! What level and area are you teaching?

    1. The festival was cool! I've never seen anything like it! I've lived in KC all my life so this is VERY exciting!!!!!!

I am not an "formal" educator at the moment. I volunteered with the wellness committee at the job I just left and decided that health and wellness is a passion for me. I decided to go back to school so that maybe I can turn my passion into a career.

    1. Oh good!!! I finally figured out how to send you an invitation...and you got it!!! Facebook, if you want to call that a blog, I'm relatively used to...this is my 1st time using google's blogger.

The mountains are GREAT! They're making really good landmarks for me as I'm learning my way around town!!!!

  3. The one part of this relocation that I'm VERY anxious about is finding a church home. I've changed churches in KC but there are SO MANY to choose from there. There is even more than one church to choose from in ANY denomination!!!(that can be a blog topic all by itself) Maybe the sparseness of churches in the area will make it easier not harder to find one where I can learn, grow and work!!! I hadn't looked at it from that perspective until I started proof reading this!!!

I started off my day with some breakfast and headed out to the church that I was looking for last Sunday but didn't find because my GPS wasn't functioning. Service was reminiscent of a church that I attended in KC.

Guess I'll relax and do some more exploring!!!!

  4. Hi Courtney!!!

Wow those balloons are beautiful. Looks like you moved to a nice part of the country. Not jacket in January??? I live in New England and in January, not wearing a jacket would be crazy. I enjoy the weather change, but seems like are just fine with the consistent weather in AZ. Good-luck with the move and I hope you are enjoying your new job!!!
